0356. Matilda Meader (1851 – 1931)

Matilda Meader, daughter of Frederick W. Meader (1816-1903) [0208] and Sarah Wilde (1818-1893), was born in Quaker Springs, NY July 26, 1851 and died January 31, 1931.

She married:
1)      Alexander Burton, born in 1842 and died October 17, 1898. He was a farmer at Quaker Springs.
The children of Matilda Meader and Alexander Burton were:
i. Sarah E. Burton, born May 10, 1871 [Herrington: 1874] and died January 14, 1939. May 1, 1894 she married Ralph Cressie Browner, born August 19, 1869 and died December 24, 1959. He was a carpenter and sea captain.
ii. Charles Burton, born Mar 14, 1877 and died August 25, 1942. He was a farmer in Quaker Springs and later in Schuylerville. December 17, 1905 he married Edith Severance, born August 17, 1888 and died march 21, 1926. They had two children.
iii. Frank Thomas Burton, born Augusts 5, 1879 and died September 27, 1949. [Herrington: 1941]. He was a carpenter in Schuylerville. August 6, 1903 he married Anna Mae Hammond, born August 5, 1881.
iv. Harriet Burton, born March 2, 1885 and died October 17, 1916 [Herrington: 1919]. She married Jerry Allard. They lived in New York City. There were no children.
v. Clarabelle Burton, born December 16, 1888 and died on January 30, 1971. She was a nurse. August 15, 1909 she married William Lial Birch, born December 25, 1880 and died march 6, 1964.
2)      William Duell, born on March 29, 1865 and died April 13, 1926. They had no children.
